Mark This Date: The Day I Launch My Business

July 16, 2018 – the day I fully and whole-heartedly dedicate my efforts to grow my business, full time.

It isn’t the safe choice, but even if it’s risky, it means there’s a reward. It’s never the easy choice of leaving a job with a stable income and go into something that isn’t guaranteed, but it could be worth it.

Nowadays, with advancements in technology over the past decade, there are more business ideas than ever. Not only does technology bring a lot of opportunity for new business, but it brings opportunity to advertise your business online.

You reach a point in your career where you have enough experience doing what you’ve done. The hard part will be learning how to run a business; finding great clients, keeping clients happy, growing your business through a sustainable business model – these are all things I can state, but going through them is a different story.

Something changed during my junior year of college. Instead of floating along in college, trying to make good grades in my courses, my interest in marketing heightened. I envied the idea of integrated marketing for brands online. There was just so much opportunity! I knew at that point, I wanted to start my own business, and I’ve always admired from afar those who had their own small agency.

More importantly, I want to help those who need it the most – small business owners and entrepreneurs, mainly, but also agencies that want to expand their services through SEO. Many people are aware of SEO, but not many people have an understanding of everything it entails. I do feel that with a little guidance, anyone can do SEO, and do it well.

Ultimately, I’d like to leave my mark on the digital marketing industry. The industry is ever-changing with things like automation, but at its core, SEO and digital marketing campaigns still need a human touch, and I believe it will stay that way for the foreseeable future in order to be successful. If my plans go awry, then I’ll pursue something else. But in the spirit of entrepreneurship and my own goals and interests, now seems like the right time to try.

Thank you to everyone that has helped me get to this point, I am grateful to have the support system I have – family, friends, coworkers. It’s been a great ride, but the next chapter awaits, and I’m excited to get started.
